Dr. Toby Erlichman

Dr. Toby ErlichmanDr. Toby Erlichman graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. She has been the proud owner of the Animal Hospital of Chester County since 1998. Here she is able to pursue her professional interests in small animal care, along with providing specialized attention to small mammals and birds. She is extremely skilled in avian and small mammal medicine and surgery, and enjoys working with wildlife, as well as pets. Dr. Erlichman is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, the Association of Avian Veterinarians, the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, and the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians. After serving for over twelve years, Dr. Erlichman recently retired from the Board of Directors of Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research in Newark, DE. Dr. Erlichman is on the Board of Directors of the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America and shares her home with 3 dogs, 2 cats and a parrot. Her son Matthew attends medical school.

Dr. Maribeth Shea

Dr. Maribeth SheaDr. Maribeth Shea graduated from Purdue University in 1993.  After practicing in Chester Springs for 11 years, she joined AHCC in 2004.  Her practice is limited to dogs and cats.  Dr. Shea enjoys working closely with her patients and their families throughout all life stages.  She has particular interest in helping older patients maintain dignity and a good quality of life.  Dr. Shea recently formed the Pet Loss and Bereavement Support Group which holds monthly meetings at the AHCC for those struggling after their beloved pet has died. 

Outside of work, Dr. Shea enjoys travelling, hiking, soccer, movies and reading.  She is kept busy by her husband Marco, and three children, Caelan, Aine' and Sidra.  Rounding out her house are her rescued dog Piper, and a cat named White Sox.

Dr. Shea is a member of AVMA, PVMA and the Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement.
